    List of Winners and losers in NRM CEC Elections

    The speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has been announced the winner of the second vice chairperson NRM after defeating Persis Namuganza, the State Minister for Lands.

    According to the results announced by the NRM electoral Commission chairman, Tanga Odoi, today morning, Rebecca Kadaga won with 6,776 votes beating her rival Persis Namuganza who scored 3,882 votes.

    State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda, Deputy speaker Jacob Oalanyah, Capt Mike Mukula, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, and Singh Katongole are the winners in the Regional Vice-chairperson slots.

    The regions are Karamoja, eastern, northern, western, central, and Kampala regions.

    Kiwanda has emerged winner with 4,749 votes of the central region vice-chairperson beating Moses Kalangwa Kalisa, John Magaro, and Mayengo.

    Katongole won the Kampala chairperson slot with 4,503 votes against incumbent Godfrey Nyakana who had 2,665 votes. Salim Uhuru came third with 2,466 votes for the same slot.

    Mike Mukula is currently winning the Vice-Chairperson Eastern slot with 5,818 votes. His closest rival Sanjay Tana has 4,162 votes.

    The incumbent Western vice-chairperson Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza was won by Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the State Minister for Housing.

    Deputy Speaker Jacob Oalanyah scored 7,473 votes against the incumbent Sam Engola’s 1,665 votes for the vice-chairperson Northern region.

    Simon Peter Aleper will be vice-chairperson for Karamoja region after his score of 8143 votes over his rival Jimmy Lokoru Tebanyag who obtained 2220 votes.
