Celebrated gospel musician Levixone has responded to fans’ questions asking him why he doesn’t do music for free, stating that it was not only his calling but also a source of income.

Levixone, while appearing during a TV interview, responded to critics who assumed that he was not supposed to sing without payment, citing that he is serving God. He, however, clarified that every song he releases or performs comes with expenses to be met.

The money he earns helps him to finance his other music projects, including studio sessions and video shoots, through which he keeps his career moving. Without financial support and funding, Levixone explained that it was impossible to be consistent in the competitive industry.

Levixone further noted that gospel music is his job, and it supports his livelihood. Part of the money he earns helps him take care of his family and meet daily needs, just like any other person who works to provide for their household.

“Even the Bible says we will feed off the works of hands. I’m not a doctor; my job is music, and if someone were making a music video for me for free, give me fuel, clothe me, and all that, I wouldn’t be making people pay.

It is not a bad thing for a Christian to be paid money because it helps them take care of their families, shoot another video, and record because there is no free studio session. Money is not a bad thing; it is good and necessary. That money helps me record new music, shoot new videos, and also take care of my family and children, do other important things, and also give back to the community because they are also looking at you for something,” he said.

People keep questioning my song with Winnie Nwagi. I don't know the image others have of her, but I see a believer and a truly kind person.#SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala pic.twitter.com/CaOawlMV3r
