Western Ugandan-based musician Lady Mariam Tindatiine has threatened to thump Nobat Events if he doesn’t apologize for the insults he threw at Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro.
Last week, Nobat took to social media, accusing Kenzo and his wife, Nyamutoro, of sabotaging him in Packwach. Directing the guns at Nyamutoro, Nobat not only disrespected her marriage but also accused her of conniving with Eddy Kenzo to defraud artists, promising to take them to parliament.
Despite having come out a few days back, claiming he wouldn’t discuss her anymore, Lady Mariam felt that he needed to apologize for the hurtful and embarrassing sentiments he had made about the minister.
During a TV interview, Mariam described Nyamutoro as a quiet woman who dislikes drama, noting that the attack from Nobat was uncalled for. She advised Nobat to deal with Eddy Keno directly if he had any issues to address, rather than attacking his innocent wife. She went as far as giving him an ultimatum to apologize lest he face the wrath of the women who are gearing up to teach him a lesson.
“Enough is enough. He has disrespected many people, but this time, he will learn the hard way. If he fails to apologize to Nyamutoro and all Ugandan women, we will rise. He has no reason whatsoever to attack her. They are not connected in any way. We should use our brains sometimes and filter what we say about people in public. If you have an issue with her husband, you do not come for the wife.

Many believed Mariam’s decision to speak out was motivated by her membership in Eddy Kenzo’s UNMF or her friendship with Nyamutoro, a notion she dismissed, clarifying that her actions were in support of a fellow woman, who Nobat Events had disrespected. She threatened that she would rally fellow women to attack Nobat if he didn’t come out to apologize in the next few days.
“I do not have any relationship with Nyamutoro, but my anger comes out when someone insults or beats a child or woman. Do not play with women. A woman gave birth to you, and she could as well be your sister. Deal with Kenzo and leave Nyamutoro. Apologize to her and remove her name from your mouth. If not, we shall crucify and beat you up,” she said.
