The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has produced a man identified as Kizito Ronald before the Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court on charges of demanding money with menaces and extortion.
The prosecution alleges that Kizito orchestrated a sophisticated scheme in February 2026 to extort money from a citizen through intimidation and false reports.
The Fabricated Assassination Plot
The case centers on an incident at Kira Police Station, where Kizito reportedly made a shocking claim to a one Mugimba Robert. Kizito allegedly asserted that he had been contracted by Mugimba himself to kill Mugimba’s own wife.

However, during police interrogation, the plot began to unravel. Kizito eventually admitted that the claim was entirely fabricated. Despite the confession, the accused allegedly proceeded to demand UGX 4 million from Mugimba, claiming the money was required for him to officially retract the false report and “clear” Mugimba’s name.
Legal Proceedings and Remand
Appearing before the Chief Magistrate, Kizito was read charges related to:

The court has remanded Kizito Ronald until April 30, 2026, as investigations continue and the prosecution prepares its witnesses.

This arrest serves as a stern warning from the State House Anti-Corruption Unit against individuals who use state institutions, like the police, to facilitate extortion and personal vendettas.
Authorities are urging the public to report any instances where individuals claim to have “inside information” or leverage over police investigations in exchange for money.
