Singer King Saha has opened up about a proposed battle with Western-based artist Ray G, turning down the suggestions.
Last month, Ray G held a successful concert at Kololo Airstrip, pulling one of the biggest crowds in the venue’s history. Two weeks later, King Saha also did the same with record-breaking crowds.
With this, music fans started comparing them and inciting a music battle. Saha, however, turned down the request, referring to Ray G as his brother.
He revealed that he wouldn’t put himself up against him because of the strong bond and friendship they shared, and he avoided putting him in the middle of the drama.
“Ray G is my brother and doesn’t deserve to be put in this drama. Whether friendly or not. In this life, there is how people want you to live and how you personally aspire to be. We should just fight so hard to be what we want to be, not what others want. Fight your own battles and not those instigated by other people,” he said.
Saha revealed that music battles bring divisions among artists, describing himself as a peaceful person whose aim is to bring people together and not tear them apart.

“When you look at me, I am a person that brings people together. When I get a chance to talk to people like him, it is like combining efforts. We live and learn from each other. He picks from me and I pick something from him too. Life is about collaborating. While we are at it, we may meet people who have different mindsets. We have to ignore the negative things,” he said.
