Keddi Foundation and its associated partners have announced a significant aid initiative in response to the escalating crisis in Israel and Palestine.

The announcement happened during a media interface at their headquarters in Entebbe Municipality, Division A on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

This aid which amounts to USD 50,000,000 (at least Ug Shs. 189,520, 050,000) is meant to procure ambulances (100), food (100 tonnes) and refugee tents (70,000).

Addressing the media, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Keddi Foundation Hon. Steven Eric Keddi Zuluba keenly expressed the need to help the people in these war torn countries who have been severely affected by the war that has now marked 65 days.

Flanked by the other members of the Keddi Foundation as well as Christian and Muslim leaders, Zuluba hinted on how the war has had adverse effects to humanity.

“As Keddi Foundation, we are mindful of the value of life. This is the main reason we are joining hands with our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Israel. In Palestine alone, over 21,000 people are presumed to have died with scores up to 13,868 injured. In Israel, 2927 people are presumed to have died with 3759 injured. There has been destruction of health facilities, buildings, businesses, infrastructure (roads and electricity) and other things. Keddi Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to providing aid to those affected by the conflict.” Zuluba noted.
