Renowned singing girl duo Katalenya & Kandle have exposed their former manager, Ray Pan, for a media stunt that showed that he had gifted them a brand new car.
The incident happened a few months back, and according to Kataleya, the surprise event was orchestrated by YouTuber Brown Sugar, who lied to the ladies, telling them they needed to shoot a challenge to their song.
She led them to the beachside to receive their gift, and, to their surprise, they were met with a white, brand-new BMW and huge bouquets, amidst cheers from the media teams.
“We saw the car and we saw the label with our name. We screamed so much because we were excited for the car. We thanked him, drove it around and were with it for like a week,” they said.
The duo revealed that they happily drove their car around amidst criticism from bloggers who alleged that it was a stunt.
They later realized that the reports were true because the car allegedly disappeared after a few days. When they asked for its whereabouts, they were then told that it was all a stunt and the car had been recalled.

“I don’t even think it was a full week with it and it disappeared. When we asked about it, they didn’t tell us anything. It was all about the media. The car was a view once. We were happy because we worked so hard but it was all for the media. When we asked where the car was, they told us it was a stunt. We also didn’t know and we were hurt. If it was PR, she would have told us something so we know,” they said.
It was not long before they announced their split from Ray Pan for undisclosed reasons.
