Dancehall artist Karole Kasita has opened up on her love life and reasons as to why she has chosen not to get married.
During a media interview, Karole was tasked to break down the qualities of her ideal partner. On her list, she revealed that she desires to be with someone who gives her peace of mind and, most importantly, respects her personal space.
The ‘Balance’ hitmaker explained that it was very crucial for her and her man to stay in separate houses since she couldn’t stand looking at them for long. This, among other reasons, is why she is not married yet.
“I love someone who gives me peace. They understand me; give me my space when I need it and when I want them, they are there. It is very important for each one of us to stay in their houses. Because I can’t stand seeing my partner for one week. There are marriages where each one stays on their own but you are so much in love,” she said.
“That is why I’m not married. I have choices otherwise I would be married already. I’m a marriage material but I choose not to be there,” she added.
Karole Kasita further noted that she has gone through all the stages of romance in her life, but chooses not to post on social media or let the public into her personal space.

She reflected on when the man she was initially dating proposed to her on stage during her performance. Quite different from the women who get excited when their lovers publicly ask for their hand in marriage, Karole Kasita revealed she was embarrassed and instead turned him down.
“A guy proposed to me on stage with a ring and flowers saying he wanted to marry me. But I quickly told him to get up on his feet because he was embarrassing me and letting everyone know,” she said.
