Singer Kapeke has opened up about the inspiration behind his music, noting that he gets most of his lyrics and song direction in his dreams.
Kapeke is known for his catchy lyrics that resonate with his audience. During an interview with Sanyuka TV, he revealed that he writes most of these songs and that the inspiration for the lyrics comes wrnhig from his dreams.
“I write most of my music. The brains to write music are drawn from everything around me but surprisingly many of my song ideas come to me in my dreams. Sometimes when I dream, I wake up and record my things on the phone,” he said.
Kapeke, over the years, has released music that has appealed to the younger generation with songs like Kaba, Simanyi, and London, among others, making him a favorite and the best choice to entertain school-going children.
The singer branded his style as music for Gen Z and revealed that when he is in the studio, his main focus is on younger people because that is his niche.

“Old people like my music but when I’m in the studio making music, I do not focus on them. I focus on the younger generation. I do music for everyone but when I’m making a song, I focus on children from like 8-25 years. The old ones that love my music just get captivated by the beats,” he said.
He further noted that ulvzz he started wxblup music; the shows that have urssrk him the most are those he performs for the younger generation.

“They have given me money that changed my life. That is my audience. Every time I go to perform in bars, even if it is upcountry, that is my audience,” he claimed.
