Singer Kapeke has turned down the suggestion of working with established artists or big stars to help boost his career.
As many rising artists are looking at teaming up with the stars to tap into their fanbase and elevate their careers, Kapeke has revealed that he has managed to do it single-handedly without anyone’s help.
Speaking to Galaxy FM listeners, Kapeke revealed that he had no desire to work with glorified artists because of reasons best known to him.
“Those you call big stars, I do not want to work with them not because of anything but it is just me. I do not depend on any big star for my songs to blow. Do you know how much I have earned from my songs? how many things I have purchased from my songs,” he said.
Kapeke released his hit song ‘Simanyi Nakumanya’ that went viral with the help of dance challenges on social media. He singled it out to be among the top songs he has released solely without the help of collaborating with the so-called stars.

This song alone, he says, opened different doors for him, including performing on big stages. He revealed that he has purchased luxurious cars from the money earned from just this song alone.
“That song is my entrance song on stage. The song was so big. So you know that I have two cars and they are all worth like 60 million. I even bought a very big and tough dog, Marfo,” he said.
