Ugandan musicians are grieving the loss of South African singer Zahara real name Bulelwa Mkutukana who passed on at the age of 36.
Based on the pressed statement issued by Zahara’s family, revealed that the Afro-soul artist passed away peacefully on Monday after battling illness for a few weeks.
Although the family has chosen to keep the cause of her death undisclosed, rumours suggest that she may have succumbed to liver complications.
The news of Zahara’s death has sparked an outpouring of condolences from around the world, including from Ugandan musicians such as Juliana Kanyomozi and John Blaq, who expressed their sympathies through their social media platforms.
In a heartfelt message, Juliana expressed her gratitude to Zahara for her music, acknowledging that it touched and healed many lives, including herself, and will continue to do so even after her passing.
