Singer Jowy Landa, real name Joan Namugerwa, has publicly declared that she doesn’t have any friends in the music industry, citing that everyone was always looking out for themselves.
Jowy Landa, while speaking during her recent interview, emphasized that the industry was full of people who know each other and try to stay cordial but don’t believe that there are any true friendships.
At this point in her life, Jowy Landa revealed that she chose to focus on her music and stay in her own lane.
“I learned that people do not love themselves in this industry. I learnt that the hard way and decided to stay at home. Artists do not love each other and when they meet, they fake it. Right now, I can tell you that I’m just doing my music,” she said.
Jowy, at one point, was in a girl group with Pinky, Nandor Love, and Ava Peace, which later disbanded, saying that she would never hang out with another musician for that long.
“If I find you somewhere, I just say hello but you can never find me again chilling with a musician or even vibing for hours. As a person, I grew up and need my peace of mind; something the industry cannot give me because it has a lot of envy and jealousy,” she said.
With the increasing stories and experiences about witchcraft in the industry, Jowy revealed that she learned to live on her own and only rely on her family for support.

“We have to learn to leave them alone because they even know how to bewitch. I do not have any artist that I can call up and tell my problems. I stay with them and find solutions on my own. I can tell my mother or my boss. When it is financial, I tell my man,” she said.
