Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone has revealed that he is scared of sleeping in hotel rooms on the top floors out of fear of falling off.
On 4th October, 2008, Jose Chameleone had traveled to Arusha, where he was set to perform for his fans at the Miss Kilimanjaro beauty contest, when the tragic incident happened.
The singer claimed that he had gone to his hotel room on the 3rd floor of the Impala Hotel, a five-star hotel in the city. He is said to have slept off after his music show, only to wake up on the floor surrounded by people.
The incident was attributed to sleepwalking, a sleep disorder that involves people getting up and walking around while asleep.

“I didn’t sleep at that penthouse because I thought to myself, what if I sleepwalk again? Even in Australia, I was with Fred then he told me we wouldn’t be sleeping up there. He suggested we get to the ground floor. That is why when I get to hotels, I sleep on the ground floor because history can repeat itself. I can dream of flying over Vancouver and by the time you wake up from that dream, you are already outbound and you cannot reverse that,” he said.

During his TikTok live broadcast, he recalled that four years after the incident, his Indian friend offered him his luxurious penthouse when he visited Toronto to sleep in and enjoy the view. Despite loving it, he didn’t take the offer because it was on the 37th floor.
