Musician Ronald Alimpa has denied allegations of abusing drugs, citing that it was a lack of money that drove him into the situation he is in right now.
A few years ago, Ronald Alimpa released his breakthrough song, Seen Don, which catapulted his career to the pinnacle of the Ugandan music industry.
However, his shine was short-lived, as he veered off the musical course due to challenges beyond his control. The car accident that injured Alimpa and claimed his peers’ lives dealt the singer a heavy blow, and ever since, his life has never been the same.
For the past few years, he has been linked to drug addiction, which he watered down during his most recent media interview.
Alimpa revealed that he had planned out his life and had officially visited his lover’s parents’ home because he wanted to be a responsible person with his newfound fame. However, everything turned around when he lost all his glory.
“When people hear my songs, they think I’m a class above; someone who made money. I don’t even have a single coin. At this time, I have nothing; my wife is gone, I don’t have my child, and I have no money. I generally have nothing, and my life is meaningless. I have cried a lot because I have been hurt by love,” he said.

Speaking about the drug abuse, Alimpa distanced himself from the allegations, noting that he was just broke and hungry and not under the influence of any substance, as claimed by the media and those around him. He revealed that he had also lost his bookings because promoters claimed he was not honoring the agreement.
“I want another hit song. I also need a car. Lost all the respect, and everyone despises me. Right now, I’m not using any toxic substances; I’m just hungry,” he said.
