In a bid to curb the skyrocketing immorality in schools, the Tororo woman MP Hon. Sarah Achieng Opendi wants secular musicians banned from performing in schools.

On Thursday 14th July, Opendi revealed to the Uganda parliament that the rate at which musicians are spreading indecency in schools is alarming.

According to the MP, many musicians perform at school concerts almost naked, and their raunchy dance moves leave kids negatively impacted.

As a mother, Hon. Sarah Achieng Opendi urged school leaders to go for musicians who will be influential in kids’ lives since it is the primary purpose why parents opted for their schools.

She further urged the Ministry of Education to put policies that will be followed by musicians, before they are allowed to perform in schools.

The MP went ahead and cautioned artists to perform songs that will both entertain and educate kids while they perform in school.
