    High Court Commercial Division Judge Anna Bitature has given city socialite Brian Kirumira aka Brian white 14 days to file in his defense in a case where he is accused of defaulting 135 million shillings from Mayanja and Sons Company Limited

    Court heard today that Kirumira had not filed his defense yet he was duly served by Mayanja’s lawyers.

    Brian White through his lawyers had earlier on asked court to dismiss this application saying he never engaged in any business dealing with Mayanja.

    In the petition before court, Mayanja and Sons Company Limited accuses Brian White, the Brian White Foundation and Muwanguzi Nicholas of T/a Wald Electronics for breach of contract.

    “Despite of several demands and reminders, the defendants have refused or ignored and neglected to clear their indebtedness to the plaintiff”

    As such the company wants court to compel Brian White to pay them their money plus costs.

    According to court documents, one Muwanguzi Nicholas, while acting as an agent for Brian White approached the company and asked for tents worth 270 million shillings.

    On 13th October 2018, Muwanguzi paid 135 million shillings and promised to pay the balance on receiving the goods

    Later on 24th October 2018 the tents were delivered, inspected and received by Brian White who signed the delivery note and yet up to now he has failed to clear their balance.

    The complaints also accuse Brian What of cause the arrest and detention of their agents at Busunju Police station on 5th Feb 2019 when they went to demand the money.
