Hajat Kulthum Nabunya has announced that she secretly got married to the love of her life and is enjoying her marriage.
Kulthum’s revelation comes in response to bloggers tagging her following her ex-husband Acram Gumisiriza publicly proposing to his new girlfriend Deasa.
Kulthum, in a post on her TikTok account, shared the legal papers as evidence that their marriage was annulled and the divorce finalized on 13th June 2025 after close to four years in marriage.
According to Kulthum, she recently met a loving man who proposed to her right away, and she accepted. She noted that they had a secret Nikkah ceremony with only a few friends and family present, and at this point, she has no problem with Acram moving on.
“Just to remind bloggers, please, I told you that Mr. Gumisiriza and I were no longer husband and wife. I filed for my divorce, and it was successfully attained last year. Meanwhile, an angel I had never met on earth came to me and gave me a marriage proposal that I accepted. We had our nikkah with a few friends and family, so at this moment, I just added my voice to others to say congratulations to Daddy Junior. Enjoy your world naffe eno tuli busy,” she posted.
In 2021, Acram Gumisiriza and Hajat Kulthum officially introduced Acram to her parents in a colourful traditional ceremony, before their Nikkah at the Kibuli Mosque in Kampala.

However, their marriage was marred by challenges, before it hit rock bottom with Hajat Kulthum announcing their separation in 2025.
The pair moved on with their lives, with Acram relocating to the US in search of greener pastures. It is here that he opened a new love chapter and was ready to start an empire with his new girlfriend, Deasa.
