Two gay men are reportedly on the run and fearing for their lives after surviving a deadly attack at a motel in Wakiso (name withheld)
Emmanuel Tusuubira, 32 and Emmanuel Alex Wasswa, 31 were caught red-handed engaging in homosexuality by a motel staff who got suspicious about their odd conduct and movements on Monday, 11th November 2024.
According to eyewitnesses that this newspaper has talked to, both men arrived at separate intervals but checked into the same room which raised suspicions about their intentions.
When they both did not check out by midnight, staff got more concerned and alerted some other people in the neighborhood.

With the reputation of their business being at stake, the motel staff decided to interrupt the privacy of these two men by blasting their room door open only to catch them red-handed.
A bloody scuffle ensued when the irate mob descended on the two men and mercilessly clobbered them leaving Tusuubira badly injured and unconscious before Wasswa narrowly escaped into the dark with serious injuries too.
The Wakiso Police station arrived shortly after and whisked the injured Tusuubira to St. Andrew Medical Center in Wakiso for medical attention to save his life before he could be subjected to a serious Police interrogation that would most likely lead up to criminal prosecutions.
The Police sent summons to Emmanuel Tusuubira on Wednesday, 13th November 2024 but neither him nor his partner in crime Wasswa has reported the station to assist in the investigations and they are both currently on the run with their injuries, fearing criminal charges and likely further reprisal attacks from motel staff, embarrassment at their work places and the community where they live.

Background:
The Ugandan Government has faced global condemnation for its enactment of a harsh Anti-homosexuality law which criminalizes all LGBTQ relationships with punishments including torture, long prison sentences and even death.
The largely cultural and religious Ugandan society also scolds any person associated with homosexuality and many members of the LGBTQ have found life very hard and uncomfortable in the country.
