Ugandan rapper Feffe Bussi has explained why he has not brought out his lover into the public, claiming that it was not the right time.
In this era when artists are unexpectedly going public with their lovers, Feffe Bussi, during his interview with Spark TV, revealed that he chose to conceal his relationship with the excuse that the public would start looking forward to their breakup.
“What do I gain if I bring her out? When you expose your relationship, they start counting down the time of how long it lasts. But it is not all about one showing off their lover but enjoying their life. People being together is not for the public. Besides, it’s not the intention for someone to keep their lover in the gallery; they have to have some standards to bring them in public,” he said.
Feffe further turned down the question on when he will officially marry his secret girlfriend, urging the media against mounting pressure on single people by constantly asking them when they plan on getting married.
According to Feffe, these questions and the pressure might force people to make rushed decisions, which include settling for the wrong partners because they feel they are running out of time.

“Please stop giving a gestation period. We are human and as a person, you have the brains to decide what you want and when to do it especially when you are above 18. This is not a pregnancy that I’m expected to give birth in 9 months. This puts so much pressure on people into rushing to meet people they are not ready to meet,” he said.
