Media personality Evelyn Mic, real name Evelyn Masika, has hit back at Sheilah Gashumba, daring her to have her fired from her radio job.
Evelyn, during her radio show, emphasized that she was standing by her earlier claims that Sheilah indeed broke up with Alex Bidandi.
But because of what she had said and how the rumor had gone viral, Alex and Sheilah were trying to patch things up and coverup for the sake of their public image.
“I’m a journalist, and I speak the truth. I stand by what I said. They split up and because of me and what I said, they are trying to patch up the relationship.
I said sorry and I remember telling her PA that I would do another story to clear these things. But they didn’t give me a chance to do that. All they did was go on social media and rant. People should thank me because every time I speak about a relationship, people sit back and see how important their relationships are and get back together,” she said.
The back and forth between the two started last week when Evelyn revealed that Sheilah had broken up with her private boyfriend, Alex Bidandi, describing Sheilah as a woman who never settles in relationships.
The frustrated Sheilah, in retaliation, warned Evelyn, reminding her that she had the capacity to make her lose her job at NRG Radio Uganda, something the latter laughed off, daring the former to get her fired.
After several days of not showing up on her weekly program at NRG Radio, prompting listeners to think that she had chickened out owing to Sheilah’s threats.

She, however, revealed that she had lost her sister and was away for the burial, saying her friends shielded her from seeing Sheilah’s social media rants because she was going through a hard time of mourning her loved one.
“I didn’t even know I was trending but when I was going through a tough moment, my friends are human enough to know and not show me those things. I even remember receiving a call from a friend of mine warning me against not going on TikTok and finishing mourning. Another friend of mine kept on showing other people’s positive videos; and I figured out what was going on,” she said.
“Me I don’t even feel bad about what Sheilah said because I know it is your man going around showing people screenshots of how you are pleading to get back the relationship. I do not take it personally and I do not know why people are making it a big deal,” she said.
