Police in Entebbe are investigating a murder by stabbing that occurred on Tuesday August 24 at Nakawuka Zone B, Kajjansi Town Council when a 13-year-old girl stabbed Sadiq Matovu, 15.

According to the Police report, the incident happened at around 7 pm and the suspect reported to police after.

She was arrested and police dispatched at the scene.

“The police have since established after inquiries that while the suspect was at her mother’s (Faith Namawejje) workplace in Nakawuka, the deceased, with 14 other boys, started assaulting her and in self-defence, allegedly picked the knife and stabbed Sadiq in the chest,” KMP Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire said in a statement.

The body was later conveyed to the city mortuary at Mulago for a post mortem.

Police recovered and exhibited the killer weapon.

“The file is being processed and will be forwarded to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice,” Owoyesigire added.
