Musician Eddy Kenzo has clarified that he and Swangz Avenue musician Azawi have no bad blood despite her public criticism.
Azawi has often rebuked Eddy Kenzo for failing to stand up for fellow musicians and Ugandans for a while. She claims the UNMF president has not used his position to address the industry’s issues, linking it to supporting the party in power.
When asked if there was a silent feud between them, Eddy Kenzo revealed they harbour no grudges and he celebrated her success in the industry.
However, his only concern came from Azawi’s interview with Douglas Lwanga. Eddy Kenzo did not agree with some of Azawi’s political submissions, especially those against the government, which he claimed were misleading to the youths.
The Big Talent boss claims he immediately contacted Douglas Lwanga to schedule a one-on-one interview with Azawi to discuss these issues face-to-face. The interview aimed to reason her out and change her perspective on some of the issues he thought she was ignorant about.
As a person, her opinions are at a certain level, right, especially regarding politics. But to some extent, she uses either bias or lack of knowledge about some things.

When I saw this, I realized it would not be enough to interact with her on a personal level. I asked for a one-on-one public conversation for us to correct each other. Maybe we both may learn something from each other because she said so many things that could easily mislead the youths. She looked like she had a point but if we sat together, she would see my point of view and vice versa. I wanted us to rectify this during a public interview,” he said
