Singer Daxx Kartel has advised artists against flocking to fellow artists’ concerts and asking to perform instead of giving them a chance to shine.
Daxx Kartel was hosted at a recent interview on Galaxy TV, where he acknowledged that he has not performed at many of his colleagues’ concerts, especially this year.
Giving his reasons, the singer believes that when an artist stages a show, it is their time to shine, and believes that the artist of the moment should be left to plan and program for their day.
He added that artists stepping on stage with claims that they are supporting them takes away the spotlight from them on their special day.

This, however, doesn’t mean that he will not show up, but rather that he will buy his ticket and attend the concert to show his support.

“I most times come for shows and not perform but to watch. I came to Vinka’s concert to just enjoy myself. I think a concert is someone’s day and we are not supposed to be there singing. I think our role is to go there to just support. Actually the owner of the concert has to have the program for themselves. But I usually see artists even fighting that they must perform. Backstage, they are always fighting. God saved my life that I do not have that village excitement; I just come to support and watch the artists,” he said.
