A few weeks ago, the National Unity Platform endorsed Latif Ssebagala as their preferred candidate for the position of lord mayor ahead of Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone even when many had anticipated that he was on the forefront being Bobi Wine’s friend.
After days of waiting on the explanation of why Chameleon was sidelined, a document has leaked explaining how Chameleon fared.
The comprehensive assessment of NUP party aspirants for leadership positions document says that without the name Chameleone, the candidate is not recognizable, he has basic academic requirements, has little voter confidence, can only contribute to NUP only in music, his Catholic religion is not very appealing to the majority voters and his exposure is only in East Africa.
We haven’t yet established whether this document is authentic as we have failed to get a comment from NUP and Chameleon but he received a total score of 62 (51%) which is not recommended.
