Singer Ceaserous, real name Solomon Sentongo, has opened up about his long absence from the Ugandan music scene
Ceaserous achieved his big breakthrough with the release of ‘Dangerous’, which was one of the biggest hits in the country at the time. With this, he was one of the best-selling young artists in the industry, with a lot of bookings each day.
With time, however, he disappeared off the scene, and during a media interview, Ceaserous revealed that he officially took a music break at the end of 2018 because he was going through personal challenges that needed to be dealt with. During this time, he still made music, which he says he never released.
“During this time, I still recorded music but never released it. This is what I have come to rectify. Music can never fade for as long as you are talented,” he said.
Ceaseruos acknowledged the intense competition and high pace at which the music industry was moving, and in order to keep up, he revealed that he actively did his research on the trending sounds that he would be taking on, also fully relying on his already existing fanbase for support.

“It is good that artists are active because that shows that the industry is growing. The sound keeps changing. I take time to research the trending sounds and predict what will come up. There is no pressure because my art is unique and I have an audience that is supportive. It is not like I’m just starting out,” he said.
