Singer Carol Nantongo has addressed allegations suggesting that she was facing domestic violence at the hands of her husband, Dylan Ssemwogerere.
Dylan and Carol held their lavish kukyala ceremony last year before welcoming their first child together a few months after.
It was not long before social media started buzzing with allegations that Dylan was constantly physically abusing the singer, who was a new mother at that time.
During her media interview, Carol Nantongo expressed her disappointment in the allegations, deeming them false and baseless.
She cautioned the public to desist from spreading false rumors without evidence, as they could easily affect her husband’s reputation.

“Please stop talking about people and accusing them of things that can easily hinder them from achieving something in the future. Speaking something of such magnitude about my husband without evidence may affect his job somewhere because they might pin it on him that he is abusive. If you were not present and have no evidence of your claims, please do not talk about it. It is not good to judge people. Do not push negativity all the time. I will not defend myself,” she said.
Carol Nantongo, however, didn’t rule out disagreements between them, emphasizing that they happen to every couple.

Speaking about resolution, the singer noted that they usually give each other the silent treatment until they find a way of resolving their conflicts.
“I cannot lie, we have been together for nine years and misunderstandings happen because we are human. But all that matters is how we handle them. My husband doesn’t quarrel and neither do I. We have something we do where we all keep quiet until one of us sorts themselves out; this is when we talk about it. There is no perfect relationship without those disagreements. We are not angels,” she said.
