Socialite Bad Black, real name Shanita Namuyimbwa, has opened up about the huge losses she made in her Beauty Beyond The Scars Event.
According to Bad Black, she started the initiative, registered under her Namuyimbwa Women Initiative, to encourage women to look beyond their scars and past experiences.
The highly publicized first edition took place at Skyz Hotel and was graced by several notable figures in the Uganda entertainment industry. Breaking down the costs of organizing the event, Bad Black revealed she spent 20 million on food, which was not even enough because some women had attended without buying tickets.
After the event, Bad Black revealed that she got a lot of criticism that pushed her into closing the ‘Beauty Beyond The Scars’ chapter for good. She took down all the posters and videos about the event from her social media pages to prove that she was done. She revealed that she would use her money to buy herself a new Range Rover Sport.
“I gave up on it, I let it go and moved on. I even deleted every content about it from my social media handles. My socials are about my man and my children.I will survive without Beauty Beyond The Scars. Actually I’m buying the 2025 Range Rover Sport,” she said.
Bad Black further noted that she is proud of what she has done and her efforts to help the women, despite the financial burden that makes it hard for her to continue. She revealed that she would use her initiative to source funding from international sponsors, but all will be for herself.

I apologise and I will never do it again.The company behind it Namuyimbwa Women Initiative, I will source international funders for it. When you see me driving a Brabus, just know it is my initiative. I registered it alone,” she said.
