The Chief Justice, Alphonse Owiny-Dollo has warned parties in the 2021 presidential election petition against blackmailing and intimidating justices of the court. Early this week, National Unity Platform’s Robert Kyagulanyi threatened to withdraw the petition if three justices don’t recuse themselves from the case. Police in Adjumani district is investigating circumstances in which bomb explosion killed 6 children and injured 5 at Maji ll Refugee Settlement. It is alleged that a group of children residing at Maji ll Refugee Settlement went to the bush on a playing spree and picked an object which they didn’t know properly, tried to cut it through using a Panga knife, incidentally, the object exploded killing 6 of them and injuring 5. Several journalists were badly beaten and hospitalized as they covered former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine taking a petition to United Nations Human Rights Commission. The government has awarded a French-based firm to manage the road toll collections and effect proper maintenance of the Entebbe Express Highway. According to the Uganda National Roads Authority, Director in charge of Network Planning and Engineering, Eng Isaac Wani, the firm-Egis Roads Operation S.
