Three schoolgirls in Burundi spent nights  in jail and are facing five years in prison for drawing on the President’s face in their school books, according to Human Rights Watch The girls, who are all minors, were arrested last week and were on Monday charged with ‘insulting the head of state,’ according to the human rights group. South Sudan ‘tycoon’ Lawrence Malong Lual Yor who recently posted a video of himself “drowning” in a pile of US dollar notes has been charged with fraud and remanded to Luzira prison. President Yoweri Museveni has dashed to Nakasero hospital where the speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga is admitted apparently in critical condition. Museveni who was on the way to State House Nakasero was informed on Kadaga’s health condition, prompting him to switch convoy route and dash to the facility. “She is in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Nakasero,” a source at the facility confirmed to Nile Post. He was handed a two-year suspended jail sentence by a court in France in absentia, as he failed to turn up. Relatives and residents of Kalagala-Gayaza village, Buseese Parish in Nkozi Sub-County, Mpigi District in central Uganda were on Monday left lamenting as police recovered mutilated bodies of two pupils of St. Bernard Nkozi Demonstration School, eight days after they were reported missing. Nicholas Muyingo, 10 and Peace Nalweyiso, 12 were reported missing from their grandparents’ home on March 10, 2019. Muyingo was in Primary Three while Nalweyiso was a Primary Five pupil. Tax body, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has arrested a one Jude Ssebuliba aka  ‘Papa’ who has been disguising self as a clearing agent and defrauding a number of business men in the country. Addressing the media on Monday, the Acting Commissioner for Customs at URA, James Kisale said that for some time, URA has been receiving several complaints from tax payers on reports that they have been defrauded by Papa. A number of journalists were on Monday morning assaulted by activists at the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) headquarters in Najjanankumbi, along the Kampala- Entebbe highway.
