Fangone Forest singer Alien Skin has addressed his music break, explaining that he meant to create scarcity and have the industry miss him.
A few months back, Alien Skin announced on social media that he was walking away from the industry, amidst too much pressure and controversy. Giving his reasons, he noted that he was fed up with fans and fellow musicians always criticizing him, something that constantly drove him into depression.
Addressing the press, Alien explained that he was not running away from the industry but rather taking a break. This, he said, was meant to create scarcity for his music and also make him less of a target for his haters.
“I was not running away from music. I just took a temporary break. Secondly, I was creating scarcity so that the industry would miss me. I overdid music, and people started talking ill about me, but from the moment I took a break, they all stopped. They did all this wanting to drive me into depression,” he said.

Alien Skin further announced that he will be having his concert in a day from now, with little or no time left for advertising. He, however, was not bothered about the possibilities of the event flopping because he believes he has several fans.

“Filling concerts is something easy. Uganda has many fans who do not even know what they are supporting. They are the biggest number to the point that even when they bring a Nigerian artist whom they do not know, they will just go out of peer pressure. I can assure you that I will stage a show during Ramathan and still get a huge crowd,” he said.
