Uganda’s longest-lasting musical group Afrigo Band has officially apologized to their fans in the diaspora following the calling off of their show.

Afrigo band was expected to perform at the Uganda Canada Convention slated for 3rd July 2022 at the Westin Ottawa Hotel.

However, this did not happen as anticipated, following the group’s failure to acquire their visas ahead of their journey on time.

Through a press statement Afrigo Band issued via their social media platforms, the group revealed that they applied for their visa in May, but it reached 29th June without receiving any sign of approval.

This disrupted their travel bookings, hence calling off the shows that were ahead of them.

Afrigo apologized to their fans for the inconveniences caused and vowed to schedule a Canada tour as soon as the promoter confirms the date.
