As the entire country mourns the sudden death of legendary singer Moses Matovu, a.k.a. Papa Moi, his burial arrangements have been revealed.
According to the programme released by his band, Afrigo Band, the prayers for the deceased will be held at Kibuli Mosque. His body will then be transported to the National Theatre, where the public will gather to pay their last respects to the fallen legend.
The vigil will be held at their home in Kyanja, where he will also be buried tomorrow, Friday, 25 September 2026, at 4 PM.
Moses Matovu lost his life this morning, 24 September 2026, at Kibuli Market Zone B, in Makindye Division, Kampala District.
According to the Uganda Police report, Matovu sustained serious head injuries, and efforts to rush him to save his life at Kibuli Hospital proved futile.
Reports suggest that Matovu had dropped off his girlfriend at her home; however, he was being trailed by a young man who allegedly attacked him over having an affair with his woman.

The woman in question, identified as Rose Tumusiime, was apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers and taken to Kibuli for questioning.
