Singer A Pass, real name Alexander Bagonza, has opened up about the genesis of his constant back and forth with Kalifah Aganaga, noting that he took away his microphone midway through his performance years back.
During one of his TikTok live broadcasts with King Saha, A Pass reflected on the incident that happened in 2015 during one of DJ Shiru’s shows when Aganaga reportedly cut short his performance, saying he failed to understand what he was singing.
“Have you ever been on stage and someone took away the microphone from you saying that you didn’t know what you were doing and they were better than you? That was Aganaga,” he said.
Bagonza described Aganaga as arrogant, revealing that his behavior that day was going to push him into fighting him. He, however, chose to restrain himself from reacting physically because he weighed in on how much he stood to lose if he got himself in a scandal with a fellow artist.
“You know he has that arrogance but I just looked at him. Funny enough I would have beaten him because I had over ten friends around me but I just looked on. I can choose to fight but then I look at the things I stand to lose when I do. Sometimes we just look and ignore them,” he said.

The fresh battle was reignited by A Pass, who recently gave his view on Aganaga’s Nassanga remix. This didn’t sit well with Aganaga, who retaliated by insulting A Pass for his opinion.
“He said I had abused his song but I didn’t even talk about him. He got time and abused me and my wife. He said a lot of things,” he said.
