Silver Opio and his brother Steven Odong, will be all geared for a successful round of golf at the 73rd Uganda Open Golf Championships in the Professional section from July 29-1 August at the Uganda Golf Club after landing a 3 year management deal with local management company Serial Promotions.
The two brothers who are consistent players on the Uganda Professional Golfers Association recently signed a lucrative management deal from Serial Promotions in partnership with OJ Consult who will be managing the Entebbe based Golf Twins starting with the Uganda Open next month.

“The management deal is for a three year period and with that we shall be managing them on and off the course as we seek other components in the deal like sponsorships and special events,” Kamal Sabuni, the manager of the Entebbe golf duo said in a release. “Serial Promotions has come in through strategic partnerships drive to enhance the golfer’s professional careers and as such we see the twins becoming a highly successful unit.”
They will become the first golfers in the country to land such a partnership with Uganda’s top professional golfer Deo Akope, who is under sponsorship with MTN Uganda.
The Uganda Open has attracted professional golfers from Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland and Rwanda with 100 million Uganda shillings for to be share by the golfers who make the cut after a total round of 36 holes over two days.
Serial promotions is also seeking to have a Silver Opio invitational golf tournament that will be held before the end of the year and the Uganda Golf Union together with the managers of the two will seat down to set a date for the tournament.
