Kenya Airways top Management has finally agreed to sign a workers collective bargaining agreement with the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers union to improve on the workers working condition and environment.
Kenya Airways Group Human Resource Director Alban Mwenda signed the workers agreement with the union General secretary Aziz Kiirya on Thursday at a meeting organized at the imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe. The Airline top bosses signed the workers agreement with the union after signing the recognition agreement last year.
Kenya Airways country Manager Joyce Mchara thanked the union for coming into partnership with airlines for one voice and improve productivity in addition to operational excellence. The union general secretary thanked the airline Management and said that this “is the best ever negotiation agreement to be signed in the Airline industry”.
He added that the aviation industry is very sensitive and pledged not to disappoint Kenya Airways Management at any single moment.
