Musician Bruno K has responded to allegations that he uses his charity fundraising drives for his own selfish reasons.
A number of times, Bruno K has used his TikTok live broadcasts to solicit money for people in need of financial help. His followers have come up to donate millions of money to the struggling parties, sparking rumors that he was taking portions of that money for himself.
The singer, during an interview, dismissed the allegations that he didn’t give the full amount collected to the people in need, deeming the claims baseless and untrue.
He revealed that the mobile numbers he fronted for people to collect money on were for the victims and not his own.
“Those are shallow minded people with porridge in their brains. The numbers I put up are for the people who need help and not my numbers. None of them has ever come out to claim that I have asked for money from them,” he said.
Among the people who benefited from Bruno K’s fundraiser drives are Pr. Wilson Bugembe, who raised millions of money for finishing his Worship House church in Nansana.
The singer revealed that the pastor approached him, asking how much he should give him as a token of appreciation for his good work. Bruno K revealed that he turned it down because he was not doing it for money.

“Only God can repay me. I do not know how much God has blessed me and I know I wouldn’t have gotten there if I wasn’t for giving back to the community the way I do. My heart is so rich that I cannot start stealing from the unprivileged. If someone says that I get money from it, they are weak minded. I’m not working to get something; it is just Corporate Social Responsibility/. I’m using my celebrity status and big numbers to give back to the community,” he said.
He went on to proclaim himself as the president of TikTok, noting that his fans endorsed him because of what he had done to help people in need.
