Singer Lydia Jazmine has explained her deep bond with Sheebah Karungi, saying she could easily trust her with her son Amir’s life.
Promoter Abitex recently unveiled Lydia Jazmine’s concert in a press conference with journalists. What caught the attention of the public, however, was that Sheebah Karungi, whom she always refers to as her close friend, was a no-show.
Social media users started imagining that they had fallen out and were no longer friends, with Lydia Jazmine revealing that Sheebah was busy in a video shoot that day and couldn’t make it.
In her first concert press conference, Lydia took time to address the false allegations, putting to bed speculations surrounding their friendship. She explained their deep bond that can easily go as far as Sheebah trusting her with her son, Amir, because of how much she trusts her.
“I know Sheebah and she cannot lie to me. We have come a long way and I will not go into that again. We might not show off our relationship but she knows exactly how I take her and how she takes me too. We love each other, we are friends and support each other. We wish the best for each other. I take a long time without seeing her son because of the schedule but I think, God forbid, if anything ever happens and the child needs to be somewhere, I know she can trust me to have her son. That is the relationship we have,” she said.
According to Lydia, their friendship was off-camera, but they genuinely love, support, and wish each other well, despite not coming out to explain themselves to the public.

“I really love you Sheebah and I’m so proud of you. She has always been behind me and I just want to appreciate you. People believe in camera friendships but our bond is not for proving points. We know exactly what we mean for each other,” she said.
