Rapper Navio Music has come out to address fellow rapper GNL Zamba’s claims that he wrote songs for him and never paid.
During his appearance as a guest artist at Next Radio, Navio refuted GNL’s recent accusations, suggesting that he wrote his ‘Bugumu’ and ‘Saloon’ hit songs, but he was never paid.
Navio claimed that whenever he featured GNL on a song, he was only tasked with writing his verses and not the whole song, as he had earlier alleged.
“I do not think that is correct. First of all, he has never written any songs for me. When he features on the songs, he writes his own lyrics. For Bugumu, I think he had two lines on it. That is what he rapped on the song. The rest was Navio,” he emphasized.
Ever since his return, GNL Zamba has boasted about being the best Hip Hop artist to have graced the local scene. He claimed that ever since he left the country, artists in the genre have struggled to release hit songs and also stage big, successful concerts.
Navio, however, begged to differ, citing examples of Feffe Bussi and Fik Fameica, who had recently filled their concerts.
“That is a weird thing to say, mainly because I’m doing my tenth concert. I do not know if he is excluding a few because Feffe had like 15K at the beach, Fik Fameica filled up Lugogo a couple of times.

On October 10th, I’m doing my tenth show, and I haven’t had a flop. That is an incorrect statement to say; maybe he has his reasons, but we have been working hard, he noted.
