Uganda Police have arrested musician Patrick Mulwana, aka “Alien Skin,” in connection with a violent assault at Nsambya Hospital.
The arrest was confirmed by Uganda Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke on Wednesday.
“We have in our custody musician Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, whom we have apprehended on allegations of assaulting medical staff of Nsambya Hospital. More details to be shared later,” Kituuma said via social media.
The incident occurred on the night of November 19, 2024, when Tumwesigye Joram, a 28-year-old resident of Makindye Division, was rushed to Nsambya Hospital by six unidentified individuals.
Tumwesigye was pronounced dead an hour after his arrival.
Following the death, Alien Skin and his entourage reportedly became aggressive, demanding medical forms from the attending doctor.
When their demands were not met, they allegedly assaulted Dr. Matovu Zaidi and two security guards, Muyanda Anthony and Odongo Alex, before fleeing the scene.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police had launched an investigation into the incident and quickly zeroed in on Alien Skin as the prime suspect, given his history of violent behavior.
His arrest marks a significant development in the case, as authorities work to bring all suspects involved to justice.
History of Violence
Alien Skin has a well-documented history of aggressive behavior.
He was accuseed of assaulting Vox Bar bouncer Ntale Tonny in Makindye, leaving him with a broken jaw and broken teeth.
The incident stemmed from Ntale asking Alien and his entourage to follow security procedures. Alien later bragged about the assault.
Alien has also been accused of failing to perform at booked events after pocketing advance payments.
The arrest has sparked mixed reactions, with critics calling for stricter action against the musician. Many have pointed out that his repeated misconduct reflects a disregard for accountability.
