The former Uganda Airline’s flying captain Darlington Omamteker’s family is in the spotlight after their neighbor dragging them to court over trespassing land on her land in Entebbe sub district.
This follows after a one Peace Barigye filing a criminal case against Capt. Omamteker’s wife and others over trespassing on her land located along the Uringi crescent road.
Highly placed sources have indicated that last month, Capt Omamteker’s wife also proprietor of Entebbe Junior Primary School carried perimeter wall fence huge stones plus timber logs into the compound of Peace Barigye. Rosemary Kiiza Omamteker was found at around 6pm with three hired men carrying timber logs and huge stones to the neighbors’ compound.
”She ordered them to carrying the timber logs and stone from her land into the neigbor’s compound without her consent.
Omamteker says that she is the owner of the land situated at Uringi Crescent in Entebbe since 2010. But in January 2021 when she contracted Associated Engineering Surveyors Limited to undertake a survey and boundary opening exercise, she found that Barigye had partly encroached on her land.
In June 2022, Omamteker sued Peace Barigye, Mambo Kassim also police officer in the Criminal Investigations department at Entebbe Police Station over denying her access to her land.
Barigye is also pinning a one Yunus Magomu over criminal trespass and threatening violence on the 1st Sept 2022. Meanwhile case to be heard on the 14th of Dec 2022 at Entebbe magistrate court.
The proprietor of Entebbe Junior school,Rosemary Omamteker Kiiza, has suffered a huge setback in her life after the High Court Land Division put aside the temporary injunction order earlier issued in her favor restraining business woman Peace Barigye from trespassing.
Last year in December,Justice Bernard Namanya, had issued an injunction order restraining businesswoman Peace Barigye from trespassing, entering, constructing and repossessing the said the disputed land.
