Brig Felix Busizoori has taken over command of the UPDF Special Forces Command (SFC).
Brig Busizoori who has been serving as the Deputy Commander takes over from Brig Peter Candia who has been sent to the National Defence College for further training.
Brig Candia handed over instruments of office at a function held Wednesday at SFC headquarters in Entebbe. The function was presided over by Chief of Defence Forces Gen Wilson Mbadi.
Before joining the SFC, Brig Busizoori served in various capacities with in the UPDF with the most recent being the UPDF Director Personnel and Administration.
Brig Candia had served in the position for a year, having replaced Lt Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba who was appointed commander for Land Forces.
Some of the recent former SFC commanders include Maj Gen James Birungi, Maj Gen Don Nabasa and Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
