A 46-year-old man in Rukungiri District is nursing injuries after his wife reportedly bit off his male organ according to Police.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police spokesman identified the victim as Robert Kagurisi, a resident of Rwesigiro village in Bwambara Sub- County, and the wife as Vasita Tukamuhebwa.
Maate says that the incident happened on Saturday at around 11pm.
“The victim is said to have returned home while drunk; refused to eat food prepared by his wife and started abusing her,” Maate narrated.
“In the fight that ensued, the wife allegedly bit one of the testicles of the husband in self-defence and later went into hiding.”
Maate says the couple has had a long standing domestic issues that had earlier attracted the intervention of local leaders, police and community development officer in vain.
Maate adds that victim is now admitted at Devine Medical clinic in Kikarara parish as the hunt for the suspect continues.
The incident comes less than two weeks after another 40-year-old woman identified as Milly Kobusingye cut off the genitals of her husband Benon Tugumisiriza during a heated domestic conflict.
