The Uganda Cranes team started the preparations for Kenya and Mali matches on a positive note with a 3-1 win over Northern Region Select at the Boma Playground in Kitgum.
Ibrahim Orit, Rogers Mato and Shafik Kuchi Kagimu got the goals for the national team during a match watched by only vaccinated fans (against Covid-19).
Brian Obedi’s penalty was mere consolation for the hosts during the match well organized by Kibo Media Limited on behalf of FUFA and sponsored by Nile Special as well as telecommunications giants Airtel Uganda.

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic was delighted for the test given to the local legion of players.
‘The players gave a good account of themselves. It was a good test for the locally based players’ Micho revealed.

The team enters camp immediately at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi in preparation for the FIFA World Cup group E qualifiers against Kenya and Mali on 11th and 14th October 2021 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Kenyan team enters camp on Saturday, 6th November 2021.
