Residents of Buwaya, Kikaya and Gayaza villages were left smiling at heart after city lawyer John Kaggwa showering them with different food stuff during the lock down.
The prominent city lawyer donated food items worth fifteen millions including beans, posho and soap.
We have established that each person or individual got about 5kgs of Posho, 5kgs of beans and 2 bars of soap on IDD day to stock during the lock down.
Kaggwa revealed that lawyers have a societal role to play beyond their law career and this is the right time to extend some food relief and support to our local people.
“Lawyers should give back to their own people during the global choking pandemic and lock down”, added Kaggwa.
Many people are stressed with no jobs and have no money to sustain their families and themselves during the lock down.
Kaggwa advised the rich to care for the poor and less privileged during the lock down and more so even neighbors should care for their neighborhood.
The locals thanked the city lawyer for having a kind giving heart in giving the poor and less privileged during the tougher times where many people are surviving on one meal per day. (Special Report By Kigongo Solomon)
