    Ten arrested including aspiring division ‘B’chairperson Apostle Zimula Kisakye,denied bail

    National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu popularly known Bobby wine was released from Nalufenya police cells and bailed out from Iganga magistrate court.

    Bobby wine was arrested during his campaign trail in Luuka district on Wednesday and out behind bar over breaking the COVID 19 health guidelines and standard operating procedures by the health ministry.

    Kyagulanyi also Kyadondo Member of Parliament and presidential candidate was bailed out after spending three days behind coolers on COVID related charges and attracting huge crowds during his campaign trail.

    The presidential hopeful arrived at the Iganga magistrates court by 2pm from Nalufenya and paraded before the chief magistrate Jessica Chemeri.

    Bobby wine pleaded not guilty before the chief magistrate following the police brutality during his campaign trail.

    Kyagulanyi’s legal team head Hon Medard Sseggona smelt a rat over  Bobby’s clothing that were confiscated by a senior police officer before the court  proceedings.   

    Kyagulanyi was granted bail on condition to adhere to the health ministry standard operating procedures and case pushed to December 18th 2020.

    In related development ten NUP supporters including the aspiring the division ‘B’ chairperson Apostle Kisakye Zimula Peter were paraded before Entebbe court and denied bail.

    Security operatives arrested  people power supporters on Thursday over blocking the road thru Lugonjo trading center and burning tires in the middle of road.

    The suspects are expected to appear before court next week on Monday to be bailed-out.

    At Entebbe court was, NUP aspiring parliamentary candidate Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa and aspiring division ‘A’ chairperson Achilles Kiwanuka  plus other party.
