    FDC Walusimbi Gives DP Headache Over MP Seat

    Forum for Democratic Change has launched a suicidal attack for the parliamentary seat in Entebbe. This follows after one Abubaker Walusimbi signing up with the party to contest against the current area parliamentarian, Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako of the NRM party. The political squabbles with in  the  Democratic Party are pushing rival parties to fight for several political seats including the parliamentary seat. The political squabbles stem from the top leadership headed by Vincent Kayanja Depaul which  has split the party into factions including falling out with several party supporters.Kayanja’s leadership has seen several party supporters step a side as the party is sinking in the political ocean. The party has lost several influential  candidates including those that  have flee the country to seek greener pastures.The party has  lost several big brands including the former area member of parliament Muhammad Kawuma that worked for the party and financially supported the party during the struggle. His legacy was watered-down after  party supporters giving Vincent Kayanja Depaul a vote of trust now under question. Kayanja is in a bitter row with one Stanley Namayirira over the mayorship seat in Entebbe.Parliamentary hopeful Micheal Kakembo is having a paining head against rival parties in the NRM party ahead of the 2021 political campaigns.  The former parliamentary aspirant dragged  the   elected  Entebbe Mp, Rosemary  Tumusiime Bikaako  to  courts of law  and  he lost  the battle over the previous elections in 2016.  Twelve candidates participated  in  the parliamentary  race  and Tumusiime  scored  8786votes  beating her closest  rival and opponent  who garnered   a total of  8337 votes followed  by FDC’s Gitta Alex(2371votes) and in the forth and fifth positions were independents Madina Zalwango(1874votes) and Walusimbi Abubaker(1635votes). Other candidates included Patience Mubangizi(1063 votes),Charles Kirumira (872 votes), John Baleke ( 541 votes), Archilles Kiwanuka (503 votes),Kalle Michael (338 votes), Muzoora Amon Reeeves(RIP) with (212 votes)  plus  Arthur Ssenfuma (214 votes) and Ambrose Kantutu (135 votes).  Wakiso district returning officer  Sarah Bukirwa  declared  Rosemary  Tumusiime  Bikaako  as the winner  for the Entebbe Mp after flooring  her  opponents  with only  four hundred and  forty nine votes.
