A top ‘Mufeele’ (con man) in Entebbe identified as Mukasa William is cursing life and nursing injuries after he was arrested on Friday by the Entebbe Grade (B) Hospital guards over conning different sums of money from poor patients including pregnant mothers. The Hospital Guards have been hunting for the ‘Mufeele man’ for the last couple of months after several patients started complaining that an unidentified man masquerading as a “doctor” was extorting money from them.
Several patients fell in his trap and gave him money after he would convince them that he had access to all the medicines that they needed and the hospital scan that the patients also badly needed. As soon as the patients would give him money to bring the drugs, he would disappear using the hospital’s behind exit with no trace and after some months, he would surface again in Entebbe using fake names as Karabusiyo Sam looking for innocent people to con.
The ‘Mufeele Man’ was finally nabbed after he was spotted resting with in the Children’s Park vicinity. He was arrested by the Entebbe Hospital guards and dragged to Entebbe Police Station with help from the locals around. The ‘Mufeele Man’ is facing different charges including theft under SD Ref 61/07/06/19 and SD Ref 62/13/06/19.
The hospital guards rushed him to the hospital’s causality ward for treatment after he was thumped and beaten by the angry locals.
“It was hard to realize that he was a con man. He has been a very smart man and speaking so nicely. He would easily convince anyone”, one of the culprit’s victims told entebbenews.
