The Entebbe Airport NRM Group fraternity has added it’s voice on the contentious Age limit debate that has spread like wild fire across the country. Speaking to entebbenews, Tom Byarugaba the Entebbe Airport NRM Group Chairman, backed the scrapping off of article 102 (b) in the constitution that bars any Ugandan beyond the age of 75 years from contesting for the Presidency.
In his view, Tom Byarugaba argued that President Museveni is still physically strong and healthy and has displayed his capability to lead Ugandans for more years. Byarugaba disclosed that President Museveni is the only leader who has got confidence of all Ugandans adding that he is the only leader who can fast track the East African community integration process. He also revealed that President Museveni is a unifying factor in the NRM Party and his departure can spark off chaos and disunity in the party. Byarugaba disclosed that with the guidance of President Museveni, the economy has grown steadily with the goal now set for a middle income status.
He however noted that corruption is the biggest challenge that President Museveni has to continuously deal with to ensure that service delivery improves.
