Mayor Vincent Kayanja DePaul and a couple of opposition youth activists in Entebbe have pulled out their sharp nails and are fighting like angry tigers over the boiling Entebbe Municipality Development forum (MDF) elections scheduled to be held on August 25, 2017. For the last couple of days the youth activists have been pointing fingers at Mayor Kayanja for secretly hatching a plot to take over all MDF slots by fielding candidates who are his friends and will work as his puppets while supervising all Municipal council projects including USMID Roads.
The youth claim Mayor Kayanja has been secretly distributing leaflets and letters late in the night mobilizing his candidates to prepare for the MDF elections. RDC Nalongo Rose Kirabira is still tight lipped and is yet to give her position over the matter.
However when contacted on phone, Mayor Kayanja laughed off the accusations calling them baseless crazy and fake. He said that he has no power over the MDF elections because the guidelines are set by the Ministry of Urban planning and Town Clerk Charles Magumba will preside over the elections.
