Residents of Lugonjo- Nakiwogo in Entebbe Municipality, Division ‘B’ have pinned their LC1 Chairman Paul Zikuliza over engaging in shoddy land deals in the controversial swampy area popularly known as ‘Luusa’. The bitter residents pinned their LC1 Chairman during a meeting that was organized on Thursday by the Division ‘B’ LC3 Chairman Stanley Namayirira to discuss and find solutions towards some of the major challenges facing the area including land grabbers who have totally taken over the swampy area. The bitter locals alleged that some individuals connive with the LC1 Chairman to grab and demarcate plots for themselves in swampy area.

Speaking to entebbenews, Paul Zikuliza categorically dismissed all the accusations as baseless allegations without any evidence or proof and stated that he has no hand in the controversial Luusa swampy area. Zikuliza also stated that the residents accusing him of grabbing land in the swampy area are just peddling lies and false stories with intent on tarnishing his name.
Some of the residents accusing me of engaging in shoddy land deals in the controversial swampy area have no evidence pinning me. They are just tarnishing my name and perpetrating lies against me, Zikuliza revealed.
Meanwhile Stanley Namayirira who was accompanied by several councilors and the Division ‘B’ Engineer Ayebaze John indicated that Municipal Council will look into a complaint raised by the residents regarding change of Experito – Nsubuga road.

The residents want Experito – Nsubuga Road changed including the name. Together with municipal council and the engineers we shall look into the issue raised about the road and the controversial swampy area and I’m confident a solution will be found. I urge the residents to be calm and avoid engaging in petty politics. I also urge the Police to do their work professionally and remove politics out of developmental matters, Namayirira said.
